Allah sent Prophet Jesus as the messenger before Prophet Muhammad peace be upon them. He was one of the five best messengers of Allah, called Ulul-^Azm, those with the highest status, who were the most patient. Prophet Jesus peace and blessings be upon him was the son of Maryam, the daughter of ^Imran, from the sons of Israel. Prophet Jesus peace be upon him, as all the prophets, was truthful in what he conveyed from Allah, and although Muslims today follow the laws of Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him, Muslims respect, love, and believe in Jesus peace be upon him and in his prophethood.

إِخْوةَ الإيمان، يَطيبُ لَنا اليَومَ أَنْ نَتكلّمَ عَن نبيٍّ عَظِيمٍ مِنْ أُولِي العَزمِ، خَصَّهُ اللهُ بِمَيِّزَةٍ عَظِيمَةٍ بِأَنْ خَلَقَهُ اللهُ مِنْ غَير أَبٍ وَما ذاكَ بِعَزيزٍ عَلَى اللهِ فَقَدْ خَلَقَ أَبانا ءادَمَ عَليهِ السلامُ مِنْ غَيرِ أَبٍ وَأُمٍ، قالَ تَعالى في الْقُرءانِ الْكَرِيم إِنَّ مَثَلَ عِيسَى عِندَ اللهِ كَمَثَلِ ءادَمَ خَلَقَهُ مِن تُرَابٍ ثُمَّ قَالَ لَهُ كُن فَيَكُونُ

This time, the sheikh discusses some of the miracles of Prophet Jesus in detail, the hard criticism that Lady Mariam had gone through during her pregnancy, some of the matters that happened after he was and what happened after receiving the revelation of Prophethood.

Prophet Jesus and The Banquet – Sheikh Bilal Homaysi

Amongst the miracles of Prophet Jesus peace be upon him was the descending of the Banquet. Prophet Jesus supplicated to Allah at the request of his companions. Allah accepted his supplication and a banquet descended from the skies between two clouds surrounded by angels as a mercy to the people. Sheikh Bilal Homaysi goes into more detail about this miraculous event and some of the events that happened.

Allah gave prophethood to Prophet Jesus peace be upon him at the age of thirty. Prophet Jesus like all the prophets of Allah performed miracles as a proof of their prophethood.
