A great day a great turn out, Fun is something everybody is having here today.
Today, a mixed feeling of farewell and joy fills our hearts as we celebrate Eidulfitr that marked the end of Ramadan for this year.
On this occasion I would like to wish you and all our listeners the best.
I do hope that we entertained you and made your Ramadan a memorable one.

Eid Al-Fitr Speech by 2MFM President Hajj Mohammed Mehio

Ramadan has always been a special month of the year. Major things happened during Ramadan; among them the Qura’n was revealed on Prophet Muhammad, the Enjeel was revealed on Prophet Jesus, and the Torat on Prophet Moses. Fasting is ordained on the Nation of Prophet Muhammad like it was ordained on other nations of previous prophets.  As a matter of fact all prophets shared the same belief in Allah they all believed that God is the only creator and that there is no doubt in his existence, his existence is not in flesh, blood and soul, and that he does not resemble any of his creation, he has no quantity or shape or dimensions. He exits without a place He existed eternally and nothing else existed. He is attributed with all befitting attributes to his grace.
All prophets with the different heavenly books called to the worship of the one God. The first Muslim was Prophet Adam and prophets after him renewed the call to Islam and warned their people of the punishment of hell if they blasphemed and promised the Garden of Eden for those that believed.
 The month of Ramadan comes with obvious gifts; a ray of prosperity and peace that overwhelms the sincere. Muslims and non-Muslims alike are more aware of what Ramadan means, its context in Islam, its value, the position it occupies in the hearts of Muslims. The maturity in social understanding about the Islamic culture has not been limited to an understanding of Ramadan, nor has it been limited to one community apart from the next. In fact, in working alongside diverse Australian societies, I have noted a maturing understanding about the Islamic culture in general, and the Muslim Community radio  2MFM is playing a leading role in the greater awareness to the true concepts of Islam in Australia.
2MFM is now a part of a Muslim every day’s life. It made Australia home for tens of thousands who otherwise are Culturaly and religiously isolated. 2MFM is continuously working with the wider Muslim community to clarify their standing on critical issues, on being anti-extremist, and anti-immoralist. Many strategies and hard work have been put in place, often at grass roots level where the seeds of growth are sown, to nurture this platform of progress and rational understanding.  2MFM stands today as it did when it first went on air during Ramadan 1995 as the first and only independent Muslim community Radio worldwide. In one way or another, our achievements are your achievements and this is why I proudly share them with you.
2MFM has been informing and entertaining its listeners with the best of programs and songs; mostly developed locally to suite our Australian taste. We cover all local and international events in English and Arabic. 
2MFM in conjunction with TVS had entertained you in picture and sound during Ramadan. 2MFM is being heard all over Australia on the UBI channel and all around the world via live streaming on its website and very soon 2MFM will go digital.
In this occasion I would like to remind you that this is your own community channel help us make it more and more what you want it to be. We always appreciate your involvement and would like to hear your comment, and if you can volunteer in any way we would dearly appreciate that, also please renew your membership and if you are not already a member please register yourself at our booth.

معشر الحضور نهنئكم بعيد الفطر السعيد ونقول لكم جميعًا مع فرحتكم بعيد الفطر السعيد لا ينبغي أن تنسوا إخوة لكم في الدين في فلسطين وفي العراق وفي باكستان وفي الصومال لا زالوا يعانون المصاعب والمشقات.

وأغتنم هذه المناسبة لأجدد الدعوة إلى توحيد الصف وتوحيد الجهود على الحق، على علم الدين، على مكارم الاخلاق، على كتاب الله وسنة رسول الله، بهذا قوتنا وعزنا وشرفنا، ولا بد لي أيضًا في هذه المناسبة أن أقول لكم ما سمعناه بالأمس القريب من بعضهم أنهم يريدون حرق مصاحف شريفة، هذا إنما يدل على حقد دفين وعصبية مذمومة وتطرف بغيض، ولو أظهر التراجع عن ذلك فيما بعد ولكن نقول له هذا لن يزيدنا إلا تمسكًا بكتاب الله، والعمل بمقتضاه، هذا لن يزيد المؤمن إلا إيمانًا مهما فعلتم، مهما حاولتم، كتاب الله لا يأتيه الباطل لا من خلفه ولا من بين يديه.

 كتاب الله محفوظ بحفظ الله إلى يوم قيام الساعة.
