O Allah we obey you, time after time Print E-mail

Praise be to Allah, the One who enabled us to submissively prostrate to Him 34 times in the obligatory prayers every day and night. We put our foreheads onto the ground for Allah, the One deserving of worship i.e. the ultimate submission, humbleness and devotion. O Allah, I obey Your order, I obey You time after time.

The word "Labbayka" means: We obey Allah time after time, however, the act of Talbiyah itself is an emphasis of one's intent of becoming more obedient to Allah by fulfilling the obligations and avoiding the prohibitions. Obedience is due to Allah because He is the only One Who deserves to be worshipped and, praised He is for the countless bounties upon His slaves. Praised He is, for endowing upon us the gift of speech through which we present to Him verbal thanks. With our tongues, we say Allahu Akbar meaning God is the One with the greatest status, we say subhanallah or tabarakallah meaning God is clear of all imperfection. We also recite the fatihah, we say "Subhana Rabbiyal-^Adhim" and "Subhana Rabbiyal-'A^la" and we praise the Prophet in every prayer. All made possible through the gift of the tongue.

Praised is Allah for endowing upon us out of His Generosity countless bounties essential for our daily survival. The Lord of the worlds, Allah, gave us water to drink, air to breathe in and food to nourish our bodies. He is the One who brings down the rain from the skies, and raises the crops from the earth.

O Allah I obey Your order, O Allah I obey You time after time.

By Allah, the Almighty, there is nothing in this life worth disobeying Him for.

Ayah 2 of Surat Al-Anfal means: The true believers are those whose hearts are moved when hearing the name of Allah and their faith is strengthened when hearing the verses of the Qur’an. They are the ones who trustfully rely on their Lord.

We live in a time where calamities and hardships are greater than ever before, obscenities and sins are widespread and where purity of the heart has become a rarity.

Immodesty has prevailed particularly in summer, when people indulge further in sin.

Ayah 87 of Surat An-Nisameans:  There is no God but Allah the One Who will assemble you on a Day that will surely come, the Day of Judgment. Verily, Allah is the Most Truthful.

Indeed one cannot be content with this life whilst forgetting about the Hereafter. Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him when comparing this world to the Hereafter made the following analogy; This world is like the little amount of water that sticks on one’s finger after dipping it in the ocean and the Hereafter is like the water of the ocean”.

So, no matter how many enjoyments one experiences in this life, the enjoyments awaiting the believers in the Hereafter are far greater.
