The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

بُعْدًا لِمَنْ أَدْرَكَ رَمَضَانَ ولَمْ يُغْفَرْ لَهُ فِيهِ، إذَا لَمْ يُغْفَرْ لَهُ فِيهِ فَمَتَى؟

Which means: “What a great loss for the one who is not forgiven during the month of Ramadan, if one is not forgiven during this month, then when?”

Narrated by Ibn Abi Shaybah from the route of Anas Ibn Malek

The Islamic and Arabic Research League will be hosting the event ‘The Jewels of Ramadan’ and invite all to attend such an insightful and blessed event regarding the Holy Month of Ramadan and how to seek its blessings.

The following topics in this blessed event are:

  • Ramadan and its Merits
  • How the Prophet ﷺ and his Companions spent Ramadan
  • How to sight the Crescent of Ramadan
  • How to gain forgiveness in Ramadan

The honoured guest speaker for the event will be his eminence Sheikh Ibrahim El-Shafie, the Deputy Chairman of the Islamic High Council of Australia, Darulfatwa who has participated in previous events at the university delivering lectures in a heartfelt, enlightening and inspiring manner to the point we would feel the full blessings of the lecture.

Entry will be for free and complimentary food and beverages will be supplied. The time and location of the event are as follows:

  • 11th May 2017 at Western Sydney University Bankstown Campus
  • Bullecourt Ave, Milperra 2214
  • Doors open at 5:30pm, event starts at 6:30pm on the dot
  • Building 23, Ground level, Room 30
  • Parking available on campus, Bullecourt Ave and Horsley Road
